The bodybuilding era began in the early part of the twentieth century. But the most formidable years of this sport was between the ’50s and ’70s.
This was called the golden era during which natural bodies were preferred. Bodybuilders did it the right way; through exercise, diet and perseverance.
Nowadays, no one wants to take the time to learn their bodies and exercise according; it’s all about the drugs and other harmful chemicals to create mass.
This is not to say that bodybuilders back then didn’t use steroids; but they were very careful with the dosage and frequency.

For instance, the standard and safe dosage was 15mg for the likes of dianabol and primobolan. But over time, some began taking up to 10 times the dosage at a time!
This not only caused hair loss but also severe health issues such as kidney damage, heart diseases and the dreaded HCG gut which comes from the visceral fat created by the body.
The bodybuilding era known as the golden era gave us some of the best in business: Arnold Schwarzenegger aka the Austrian Oak, Franco Columbu and Sergio Oliva, the only man to ever defeat Arnold in Mr. Olympia.
